Aunque AMD esta recibiendo un paliza del Core 2 en cuanto desempe\u00c3\u00b1o, el 2006 fue un muy buen a\u00c3\u00b1o para ellos, al parecer. En general, mayormente debido a la compra de ATI, ellos pudieron disfrutar de un incremento del 91.6% en sus ingresos y subieron de puesto en el ranking general de empresas en la industria de semiconductores al puesto #8. Al mismo tiempo, Intel se quedo \u00e2\u20ac\u201c presenciando una disminuci\u00c3\u00b3n del 11% en sus ingresos y ventas por debajo de lo esperado en el \u00c3\u00a1rea de CPUs.<\/p>\n

AMD tambi\u00c3\u00a9n mantuvo sus ventajas con el Opteron y la creciente adopci\u00c3\u00b3n del X2, aunque definitivamente tiene una batalla cuesta arriba para este a\u00c3\u00b1o. El R600 no ha sido lanzado aun y sus nuevos procesadores tambi\u00c3\u00a9n est\u00c3\u00a1n a unos meses de ser lanzados.<\/p>\n
